Understand how credits work, what they cost, and how to purchase more.
How Credits Work
Scrappy uses a credit-based system for operations. Every scraping job, email validation, and AI operation costs credits.

Credit Costs

| Email validation | 1 credit per email |
| AI source discovery | 5 credits |

Viewing Your Balance
Your current credit balance is displayed in the top navigation bar. Click on it to see:
- Current balance
- Available pricing tiers
- Recent credit usage
Purchasing Credits
- Click on your credit balance in the navigation bar
- Select a pricing tier that fits your needs
- Complete checkout via Stripe
- Credits are added instantly
Insufficient Credits
If you don't have enough credits for an operation:
- The operation will be blocked
- You'll see an "Insufficient credits" error
- Purchase more credits to continue
Credit Refunds
If a job fails due to a system error, credits are automatically refunded. Credits are not refunded for:
- User-cancelled jobs
- Jobs that complete but find no leads
- Invalid source configurations
Bulk Operations
For bulk email validation, credits are calculated based on the number of emails. If you don't have enough credits:
- The operation validates as many emails as possible
- Remaining emails are skipped
- You're notified of the partial completion
