Cold email with AngelSend

AngelSend is the cold email service Scrappy integrates with. Once you connect your AngelSend account, you can move leads into it, send email, and use AI tools for writing, follow-ups and replies without leaving the dashboard.

What it is for

Scrappy finds and validates contacts. AngelSend sends to them. The integration covers the handoff between the two: exporting leads, sending, and working with the replies that come back.

Connect your account

  1. Open AngelSend in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Paste your AngelSend API key and choose Connect.
  3. The page shows Connected once the key is accepted, along with your AngelSend credit balance.

The key is stored per user. To replace it, connect again with the new key. To remove it, disconnect from the same page or send DELETE /api/user/integrations/angelsend.

Export leads

  1. On the AngelSend page, open Export Leads to AngelSend.
  2. Choose what to export: selected leads, or every lead in a Scrappy project.
  3. Enter the AngelSend project ID the leads should go to.
  4. Leave Export valid emails only on unless you have a reason to send to unverified addresses.

The result reports how many leads were exported, skipped and failed. Exports are limited to 10 per hour.

To export specific leads over the API, send leadIds instead of scrappyProjectId. A project can also sync to AngelSend automatically: turn on Enable Auto-Sync under the auto-sync settings and choose a sync mode. A deal campaignhas its own export, which can attach one of the campaign's outreach templates.

Send email

Send one email to a lead with a from address, a subject and a body. Placeholders such as {{firstName}} are filled in from the lead. Add htmlBody for an HTML version.

For many recipients, use POST /api/angelsend/send-emails. Tracking for a sent email is available at GET /api/angelsend/tracking/{trackingId}.

In a deal campaign you can go one step further and attach response automations to a template, so that a reply classified as interested, not interested, a meeting request and so on triggers an auto reply, a notification, a tag or a stage change.

What it costs

AngelSend has its own credit balance, shown on the AngelSend page and at GET /api/angelsend/credits. The AI tools above are AI operations in Scrappy and use Scrappy credits; current prices are in Credits and billing. Validating an address in Scrappy before export costs 1 credit per email.
