Question
How do I give Claude a real web browser?
Use Claude's browser toolset or connect an MCP server that provides browser tools. Either way, something has to run an actual browser, carry out the calls Claude makes, and send back what the page shows — Scrappy is a hosted browser that does both.

Option 1: Claude's browser toolset
Claude can emit browser actions — navigate, click, type, read the page — as tool calls. Your code executes them against a browser and returns the results. With Scrappy, you forward the assistant's content to POST /api/browser/sessions/{id}/claude-tools and return the tool results it gives back. The toolset is served on the Claude 5 models.
Option 2: an MCP server
Any MCP client, Claude Code included, can connect to Scrappy's hosted MCP endpoint with an API key and get 57 browser tools. This works with any model your client runs.
What the browser needs to be
Many sites block headless, datacenter-hosted browsers. A browser for an agent should run headful Chrome on a residential connection, keep logins between runs, and let a person take over when a site asks for one. You can also hold Claude's clicks or typing for a person to approve before they happen.
Questions
- Can I try it before paying?
- Yes. A new account gets 100 credits, enough for a few sessions of real use. A session costs 5 credits to start and 1 per minute after that.
Start
Try it on the site you need this week. The first 100 credits are free.
Enough for ten scrapes or a first hour in the cloud browser. No card, no call, no minimum.
